Work Process

Bed Profiling

Canal bed and side slope trimming to accurate dimensions as per lining cross-section drawing.

Sub-grade Preparation

Thorough compaction of sub-grade, removal of soft spots, and geo-textile placement where specified.

Formwork Placement

Steel shuttering fixed for defined lining thickness, properly braced and checked for alignment.

Concrete Pouring

M20/M25 concrete poured and vibrated continuously to avoid cold joints - monitored for slump and w/c ratio.

05

Curing

Minimum 21 days wet curing using jute matting or polythene sheet - critical for durability.

06

Joint Sealing

Bituminous compound or PVC strip joints sealed at specified intervals - tested for water tightness.
